Representation of Joint stock company "TVEL " in UkraineJoint-stock company " TVEL " was established in 1996y. under the Decree of the Russian Federation President. It is the corporation which consolidates in a single structure the Russian enterprises, specializing in extraction of natural uranium, production and deliveries of nuclear fuel for the atomic power stations reactors of various types.
Main activity of corporation is an organization of development, production and sale of nuclear fuel, power resources, the electric power, technologically accompanying production of nuclear and non-nuclear components of raw material, complex processing. Such nuclear fuel fits to high international standards, and on several parameters exceeds production of foreign competitors.
The JSC "TVEL" fulfils the deliveries of the Russian nuclear fuel to all units of atomic engineering in Russia and to the foreign markets which are Ukraine, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Slovakia, China, Czech and Finland where the atomic power station were built, under the Russian (Soviet) projects. The export potential is realized, both through consolidation of positions on markets, and through assimilating new ones in such countries as Germany, Switzerland, India, Iran. About 17 % of nuclear reactors in the world use nuclear fuel under trade-mark "TVEL".
The most significant important partner of JSC" TVEL " is Ukraine. More than half of nuclear fuel for reactors water-moderated reactor with capacity of 1000 МVt is used on the Ukrainian atomic power stations. Besides Ukraine has significant deposits of uranium, the rare metals used for production of nuclear fuel.
Ukraine defined the atomic engineering as one of conducting branches. It has predetermined the further development of atomic engineering: building new power units and modifying (to increase the exploitation's period of the atomic power station) production capacities.
Being the supplier of nuclear fuel for all nuclear stations of Ukraine, JSC" TVEL " actively contributes to development of Ukrainian atomic engineering: promotion of new uranium gadolinium fuel, with the increased exploitation term to 4 years, mutual cooperation in sphere of scientific development, trade and economic cooperation. Taking into account close interrelation between two states in sphere of atomic engineering, in March 1998 the Representation of JSC" TVEL " has been created in Ukraine.
The basic functions of Representation:
- To represent interests of joint-stock company in all organizations of Ukraine;
- To contribute to development in Ukraine various forms of trade and economic cooperation of JSC" TVEL " with the Ukrainian and foreign partners.
- To arrange the cooperation with the Ukrainian organizations on industrial, technological and commercial questions;
- To arrange the organization the exhibitions, fairs, etc.;
- To exercise the control over a course of performance of the achieved arrangements on the part of the Ukrainian partners, at the conclusion of agreements and contracts.
